THINKING OF DOING BUSINESS
IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC ????
!!!! DON'T !!!!
Miguel J. Terc an American Citizen who has lived in the Dominican Republic
most of his adult life was arrested recently as he prepared to board a flight in Santo
Domingo to come home to the U.S. . Get this mierda , his mom , while she still was lucid ,
gives him power of attorney to take care of her business and look out for her . WELL .... his brother and sister , who signed all the paperwork TWICE with attornies present and notaries doing their notary thing , decide that after signing papers acknowledging their mothers' wishes ,
to have their brother arrested for forgery ..... BOTTOM line is that after spending 21 days in jail AND after an independent expert examines documents AND finds no forgery took place , he is told to sign papers to sell 50% of his company to his sister for less than 50% of the
value of the company and pay ALL officials involved or he will be transferred to a prison
compound known as "La Victoria " which is a nightmare if there ever was one . After 21
days in jail and never having had any kind of criminal background , he signs the papers and
gets on the first plane back to the United States .......
The Moral of the story is ....... DO NOT invest money in the D.R. because you will get
JACKED !!!!!!
