This is really disturbing. The FCC is possibly launching an investigation into alleged homophobic remarks made on a Puerto Rican
television program called Super Xclusivo (which we DON'T WATCH).
It all started after Puerto Rican music idol Ricky Martin came out as GAY (and announced his AFFAIR WITH THE BOCHINCHE.COM, but that's beside the point), Héctor Travieso, the host of the show who uses a puppet as a bantering partner, repeatedly used the word "pato" (fag) to refer to Martin.
Viewers were RIGHTLY OUTRAGED, including Puerto Rican LGBT rights activist Pedro Julio Serrano, who complained. Instead of admitting the jokes were TASTELESS, Travieso DEFENDED his right to use the SLUR against MARTIN! Thankfully, Puerto Rican congressional officials, including Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez and Councilwoman Melissa Mark-Viverito didn't see the humor,
('cause there WASN'T ANY) and wrote a letter asking for the FCC investigation...
Let there be no mistake, The Bochinche.Com FULLY SUPPORTS Ricky Martin and NOT BECAUSE he's GAY, but because he is a TREMENDOUS performer and humanitarian who has had an ENORMOUS impact on the lives of many around the WORLD with his MUSIC and CHARITY work (what have you done lately Super Xclusivo???...didn't think so)
Oh, and to Super Xclusivo, We don't know WHY you got such a problem with GAYS, especially since WORD ON THE STREET is some of their BEST PUPPETS are, shall we say, "touched"?.....That's right, some of those puppets are JUST LIKE disgraced Senator Larry Craig....toe tappin'....get some PRIDE puppets...WE SEE YOU!!!
