1493-Llego Columbus- Columbus Invades Puerto Rico

1513- Esclavos Africanos llegaron a la Isla - African slaves arrive on the Island of Puerto Rico

1900-Spain surrendered the Island of Puerto Rico to the United States

1917 - Puerto Rico becomes a territory of the United States

1952 - Puerto Rico becomes a Commonwealth


1952-Puerto Rican flag is officially adopted in Puerto Rico- La bandera nacional de Puerto Rico fue oficialmente reconocida en la Isla.

1991- Puerto Rico declara el Castellano o sea el Español el idioma oficial de la Isla; Puerto Rico declares Spanish the official language of the island.
