Gael, Diego and Genesis Join Will Ferrell's
Spanish Comedy "Casa De Mi Padre"
Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna, who worked together in "Y tu mama tambien," are joining Will Ferrell in "Casa De Mi Padre," the Spanish comedy being directed by
Matt Piedmont. Also joining the cast are Genesis Rodriguez as Ferrell's love interest, Pedro Armendariz Jr., Hector Jimenez and Adrian Martinez. The "Padre" story is being
kept under wraps, but will be told in an overly dramatic telenovela style and feature English subtitles. Garcia Bernal plays a family friend while Diego Luna plays Ferrell's brother.
Garcia Bernal, best known for such films as "The Motorcycle Diaries" and "Amores Perros," most recently appeared in "Letters to Juliet" with Amanda Seyfried.
Diego Luna's most recent major work was Gus van Sant's "Milk." Genesis Rodriguez, starred in the telenovela "Dona Barbara" and appeared on HBO's "Entourage."
