Mexican President Considering
Legalizing Drugs
President Calderon is considering Legalization of drugs to stop all the murders that are
happening in Mexico since the Cartels have been responsible for the deaths of rivals , members
of government , journalists and even innocent civilians . Former President of Mexico , Vicente Fox ,
has even weighed in on the subject by saying the best way to weaken the Cartels is to " legalize the
production , distribution and sale of drugs . On another front , while Washington seems unable to deal with the
issue at hand , many communities around the U.S. have engaged in debate about legalization including
California where Governor Schwarzenegger has called for a debate and a proposal to be voted on in
November.
