MEET JUDGE NELSON A. DIAZ ,
HE'S A BIG DEAL IN PHILLY !!!!!!!!!!




With all of the string pulling and handing out of favors nowadays , it really is all about who you know . The story of Judge Nelson A. Diaz is nothing like that at all and it really needs to be told so that you Jovencitos know the value of " puttin in work " . Judge Nelson A. Diaz was born and raised in Harlem , New York in 1947 . Little Nelson grew up in the projects con la mama who was never there due to the fact that she was always working . Nelson did not even meet his father until he was 10 years old . Now you might say , " so what , I know a hundred people with the same story " and you would be right .

The fact is this man grew up in a time when Puerto Ricans were discriminated against every day and called " Spics " to their face and even worse in New York and all over the United States .......Judge Diaz worked his way through St. Johns University in Queens , New York and in 1969 graduated with his B.S. . After this accomplishment , The future Judge decided to study at
Temple University , where in 1972 he became the first Puerto Rican to graduate with a Juris Doctorate ( Law Degree ) YAYYYY .

While at Temple , he also helped found the first minority student group and even was and is Instrumental in helping
Latinos and Blacks get into the Famed institution . After Graduation , Nelson passed and was admitted into The Bar Association of Pennsylvania , becoming the first Puerto Rican EVER to do so !! Judge Diaz is currently Partner at Dilworth Paxson LLP
and has just been named  Diversity Committee Chairman . For all this and more , we SALUTE friend , hermano , mentor , Lawyer ,
