Michael Diaz
Now before yall haters yell out, "Who?", let me take it from the top (And I'll go slow for those who can't or won't keep up ). Diaz is a Dominican-born, Connecticut-bred Latino filmmaker who heads up a production company called "Heights Entertainment" (As in Washington Heights, a predominantly Dominican neighborhood in New York). Heights is a multi-service production company specializing in marketing, public relations and of course, film production. Employing mostly latinos (But I'm sure he don't discriminate!) this little-engine-that-could is quickly becoming, well a loco-motive. From films like, "Juan Bago" (Which was filmed in Washington Heights) to sketch comedy, this dude seemingly has all the bases covered.
Now, we at The Bochinche.Com aren't one to just hype for the hell of it, and truth be told we just met the guy at Frankie Negron's album launch. But after meeting Diaz, listening to him and then taking a tour of Heights Entertainment.Com, we figure if at least one of his many projects takes off...well...KABAAAM. He is clearly off to a great start (Or maybe we just finally got up to speed about him)...either way, by all accounts he's one to watch.
