PERUVIAN DIVA SUSANA BACA
GOES FROM SINGER TO POLITICIAN !!!!!!!

Singer , Dancer and Diva , Susana Baca , best known for her releases through the Luaka Bop label belonging to Talking Heads frontman David Byrne ,  has accepted a position in President Ollanta Humala's Cabinet . At the press Conference to announce the joyous news , Minister Baca made clear that she intends to END the discrimination that Peruvian Blacks and Indigenous peoples of Peru face EVERYDAY . La Señora Baca has in fact been the most recognizable face from Peru for a very long time seducing audiences with her sweet dulcet tones y bailando sin zapatos . 

 " I am the Beggar Minister " is what she has been quoted as saying in Lima newspapers and for good reason , her people hail from Canete where even today Black Peruvians make about 5 Dollars a day for picking cotton among other things . At one point in Peru history , Blacks made up 40 percent of Lima's residents yet in the 157 years they have been part of the history in Peru , they have NOT moved forward very much at all . Hateful Racism is still so prevalent in Peru that when Gen. Juan Velasco took back land from the Wealthy , he only gave land to the Indigenous peoples and completely Excluded Blacks .

Here at TheBochinche we applaud President Ollanta Humala and his decision to do the right thing by including Black people in his government AND by including the Beautiful Swan Diva that is Susana Baca.
