WHY WE ALL SHOULD MOURN
THE PASSING OF DON CORNELIUS !!!!!!!!!








   Soul Train was started back in the 70's by the man who brought us Love , Peace and Soul , for about $400.00 , out of HIS pocket . The OG Cornelius was very important to Black AND Latino Culture if for nothing else , HE was the first man to put us on tv WITHOUT the need to dilute who we are . El Señor Cornelius was the FIRST to put Black and Brown people in front of the camera in ALL our CRAZY glory , YOU KNOW , the huge Afro's , the KUH-razy polyester shirts , the feathered hair , the ridiculous moustaches and the supa dupa high heels hahahahahahaha !!!!!!

Don NEVER apologized for who he or we were AND he never EVER sold us out ..........At the time , most of you will NOT understand this , Don really was a revolutionary because he ALWAYS had Black and Latino artists appear on the show AND they could perform how they wanted , you see , back in the day if you were Black or Brown and hoped to appear on a show like American Bandstand , you had to dress , perform AND act the way they told you to . Imagine telling Aretha , Gladys Knight , Santana or the Jacksons what to perform AND how to perform it !!!!!!!!! THAT's how it was going down back then and if you didn't bend to the will of these so called arbiters of style and music , WELL , you were shut the Fu*k out , PERIOD , THE END !!!!!!!!!
     
Don Cornelius was a true visionary who never allowed outside influence to water down what he was doing , he ALWAYS respected us and besides , He gave us the Soul Train Line , HOW effin' COOL is that !!!!??????? By now , ALL of you know how we do when a Legend passes on from us ........... EVERYONE , please bow your head and close your eyes while holding your Right Power fist up to the sky so that we may ALWAYS remember a GREAT MAN and a TRUE LEGEND !!!!!!
 
To the WHOLE Cornelius family AND to the Soul Train Family , may Don rest in Love , Peace AND Soul !!!!!!!!!!!!
