HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY
TO URUGUAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!




Happy Independence Day a toda mi gente de Uruguay . If you know anything about the beautiful people of Uruguay , you know they , like Puff Daddy , can't stop and won't stop until they get what it is they want . Did you know that the original people , called Charrua Indians , had to fight the Portuguese , Spanish , Brazilians AANNND the Argentines , all to gain independence ............ Esta gente son bravos.......

In 1680 the Portuguese came and just plopped their asses in Colonia and made a settlement and when Spain saw this , they built a settlement as well in Montevideo . When the native peoples saw what was happening , they fought and eventually won their independence from both countries however , after this happened
Brazil and Argentina would continuously test the new Country ..............

In 1816 , Brazil thinking they could just TAKE what they wanted , attacked Montevideo , and Argentina not
wanting to be left out , got in on it . What neither of them expected was that the people would fight continuously for their freedom until they got it in 1828 . That's right .......... the people of Uruguay FOUGHT FOR 12 STRAIGHT YEARS  to gain their independence and since then have become known around the world for
beautiful handmade leather goods , and the pursuit of excellence in the TANGO !!!!!!!!!!!!
